Biko Pegasus was by Danzig, one of the most influential sires of the late 20th century and a son of Northern Dancer, out of Condessa, a daughter of Condorcet. On the track, Biko Pegasus compiled a record of 27 starts for 4 wins, 6 seconds, and 2 thirds. His major breakthrough came in the 1994 Keisei Hai, and he added his principal graded success in the 1995 Centaur Stakes (G3), the race most closely associated with his name.
